Whole transcriptome analysis identifies associated with male sterility in the silkworm, Bombyx mori

During the breeding of the JN8 silkworm strain (JN8HUA), we isolated a mutant variant, named JMS (JN8HUA male sterile variety), which is associated with male infertility. To further elucidate the specific underlying mechanisms involved, this study employed whole-transcriptome analysis technology to identify differences in testicular tissues between the mutant silkworm and the wild-type silkworm 48 hours after pupation.
