The objectives of this work were to generate a transcriptome resource for Musa acuminata which includes genes expressed in banana-Mycosphaerella musicola interactions during compatible, highly susceptible (Cavendish Grande Naine) and incompatible, completely resistant (Calcutta 4) reactions.
