Household food

<p>Number of households as of 2007 as of 31.12.</p> <p>Private households include persons or groups of persons who are registered at the same residential address. This also includes persons who are registered with both their main and secondary residence in Essen (= less than 300).</p> <p>In order to determine the number of private households, the registered inhabitants have been generated in Essen since 2003 on the basis of comparisons of characteristics with private households. For this purpose, facts are used, such as ramifications between spouses and between children and their parents, name matches in the area of family, birth and former surnames, the same earlier address of residence and the same date of registration at the current address of residence, as well as demographic characteristic constellations with regard to age, sex, marital status and nationality, which suggest or exclude certain family relationships in connection with other indicators. <p>Persons without their own household management (“persons in institutions”) do not belong to private households.</p>
