In this study, we sequenced the complete genome of 6 hybrid strains from Hanseniaspora genus (H. opuntiae x H. pseudoguilliermondii) found in different environments.

To study the structure and the evolution of inter-species hybrid yeasts, the complete genomes of five hybrid strains (Hanseniaspora opuntiae x H. pseudoguilliermondii) were sequenced with a shotgun strategy. Because one of these strains appeared to be a population of cells, a sixth sequencing experiment was done on an individual colonie.
