Microbial Signatures in the Oral Cavity Associated with Pregnancy Loss

The aim of this study was to explore the characteristics of oral microbial communities in Chinese women of childbearing age and to investigate their potential association with pregnancy loss. We compared the diversity and abundance of oral microbes in women with a history of pregnancy loss with those in the control group by high-throughput macro-genome sequencing, identified several genera of microbes that were positively and negatively associated with pregnancy loss, and explored their possible biological significance.
