Maximum elevation files for the case study with and without rainfall
收藏资源简介:
We conducted storm surge simulations for Hurricane Florence to analyze the effect of rainfall on maximum water elevations. The simulations used the HSOFS mesh and were performed under three different conditions, with the only variation being the inclusion of rainfall data from different sources. Baseline Run: The simulation without any rainfall forcing. The maximum elevations at each node of the HSOFS mesh are recorded in the FlorenceBaseline.63 output file. R-CLIPER Run: This simulation included rainfall data from the R-CLIPER model. The maximum elevations are stored in the Florence RCLIPER.63 output file. IPET Run: This simulation incorporated rainfall data from the IPET model. The maximum elevations are recorded in the Florence IPET.63 output file. The primary objective was to compare the maximum water elevations from the Baseline run to the runs that included rainfall, thereby quantifying the impact of rainfall on storm surge flooding.
