Grammar. This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1045 in the India Office collections. Size 9 in. by 51/4 in.; foll. 28. Twenty-five and twenty-seven lines in a page. The commencement of a copious Commentary ( by قوله ) on the Shâfiyah ; which appears to be the work of RAḌÎ AL-DÎN ASTARÂBÂDÎ (Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan, seventh century, cf. no. 912). This work was printed at Lakhnau, A.H. 1262. Ḥ. Kh., iv. 5, confounds it with the commentary of Rukn al-dîn (see the preceding no.). Begins: اما بعد حمد الله تعالى و الصلوة ... فقد عزمت على ان اشرح مقدمة ابن الحاجب رحمه الله فى التصريف و الخط و ابسط الكلام فى شرحها كما فى شرح اختها بعض البسط الخ. Neatly written, of the eleventh century. Ends abruptly on fol. 28r. Foll. 13 and 14 should be transposed. [Gaikwar.]
