We performed RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) to measure gene expression in normal tissue every 4 h during two complete circadian cycles and applied the JTK_CYCLE algorithm to identify cycling transcript expression under circadian regulation specific to either the hypothalamus and liver. Biological processes and signaling pathways involving circadian rhythm genes were identified, and key genes associated with related human diseases were revealed. This study offers a basis for future studies integrating data on multiple organ cycling transcript expression data to explore the mechanisms of key disease targets and describe potentially novel predictive biomarkers.
