This dataset was featured in the study: Scaling up spatial transcriptomics for large-sized tissues: uncovering cellular-level tissue architecture beyond conventional platforms with iSCALE. The dataset includes a large human brain tissue section from a patient with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and contains a fully resolved white matter lesion with chronic and active lesion cores, along with the surrounding immune response and normal-appearing white and gray matter. The sample spans an extensive tissue region and is accompanied by eleven 10x Genomics Visium Spatial Transcriptomics (ST) captures, each corresponding to smaller, partially overlapping subregions of the full tissue section, derived from adjacent slices. In addition, the data includes a high-resolution H&E-stained histology image of the entire large tissue section. Together, this dataset provides a rare opportunity to study both local and global spatial architecture of MS pathology across scales.
