Transcriptomic profiling of differentially expressed mRNA, lncRNA and circRNA in lean and obese individuals

Fat accumulation is the main manifestation of obesity. Obesity forms the largest fat pool because white adipocytes primarily store energy, whereas larger adipocytes may encounter hypoxia and mechanical stress and have higher levels of inflammatory cytokines and lipolysis release. In this study, we performed high-throughput sequencing to analyze the differentially expressed circRNAs in visceral adipose tissue between lean and obese individuals, and searched for the important mechanisms involved in the regulation of adipogenesis Visceral adipose tissue from four lean individuals and four obese individuals was sequenced to search for differentially expressed RNA.
