Sea surface temperature observed at coast of King Sejong Station, Antarctica in 2015. Infrared sensor (Apogee) was used to measure SST. During sea-ice period, measured temperature represent sea-ice surface temperature not SST. Data interval has been obtained continuously at 30-minute interval.
Surface temperature plays critical role in determining air-sea-seaice heat flux. SST (or Sea-ice surface temperature) is used to interpret measured turbulent heat flux.
