VPRS 19512 Photographic Album

The photograph album contained in this series is labelled "Photographic History of the Moorabbin Hospital" (VA 1250). It was used to record the development of the Hospital. The album pre-dates the opening of the Hospital. It appears that the photo album was commenced by the Provisional Committee. That committee was elected from the Moorabbin Hospital Society in 1949. Stage 1 of the Hospital construction was commenced in April 1973. The first photograph in the album is dated 1st June, 1973 and depicts the site where the Hospital was to be built. The album includes photographs of building sites, construction, buildings, people, functions and activities. Photographs are predominantly in black & white format.
