CLARS-FTS Spectralon XGHGs (2011-2023)

This dataset contains the column-averaged dry air mole fractions of carbon dioxide (XCO2), methane (XCH4), and carbon monoxide (XCO) retrieved from the California Laboratory for Atmospheric Remote Sensing Fourier Transform Spectrometer (CLARS-FTS). The measurements were collected in Spectralon viewing mode (pointing at a Spectralon diffusing plate to observe the direct solar spectrum) from the Mount Wilson Observatory, California. The data spans from August 2011 to July 2023 and was used to characterize the instrument's long-term stability and calibrate greenhouse gas retrievals for the Los Angeles Basin.
