Performance Analysis of 5G NRPPa Positioning Procedures

This contribution addresses 5G positioning by providing an implementation from scratch (5G Core with AMF and LMF, 5G RAN with gNB) as well as a performance analysis of selected NRPPa procedures (3GPP Release 18) on top of NGAP in terms of time. More precisely, the following pieces of information are included: time measurement results of the Round Trip Time and the Periodical Time Interval of the NRPPa NR E-CID Measurement Request/Response and Report procedures, respectively, depending on the number of NRPPa procedures executed in parallel, the thread pool size, and the period (for NRPPa NR E-CID Measurement Report only). reference to a corresponding GitLab repository that contains the source files as well as a getting started guide.
