The surface and tower meteorological instrumentation uses mainly conventional in situ sensors mounted on a tower to measure wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, dew point, and humidity. It also obtains barometric pressure, visibility, and precipitation data from sensors at or near the base of the tower. In addition, a chilled mirror hygrometer is used for comparison purposes.本套地面与塔式气象观测仪器主要采用安装于观测塔塔身的常规原位传感器，用于测量风速、风向、气温、露点及湿度。该系统还可通过塔体基部或其附近的传感器获取气压、能见度与降水数据。此外，本系统配备冷镜式湿度计（chilled mirror hygrometer）用于对照校准。
