Digital Archive from a Magnetometry Survey at Hilperton, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, January-April 2024

This collection comprises geophysics and CAD data from a magnetometer survey of approximately 14 hectares conducted on land at Hilperton, near Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The survey was undertaken by SUMO geophysics between January and April 2024. A series of rectilinear enclosures, a partial irregularly-shaped enclosure, numerous additional ditch-type responses and tentative ring-ditches are indicative of a multi-phased settlement. Evidence of ridge and furrow, former field boundaries, infilled ponds, modern ploughing effects and a land drain have been identified, along with areas of natural magnetic variation and modern ferrous disturbance.
