Digital Archive from Archaeological Investigations and Recording Work at Scorton Quarry, North Yorkshire, 2003-2014

This collection comprises of reports, photographs, scanned drawing sheets and site records, specialist reports and data, finds database, and catalogues from archaeological work at Scorton Quarry, North Yorkshire.
Between 2003 and 2014, Northern Archaeological Associates Ltd (now Ecus Archaeology) carried out a series of watching briefs and excavations in advance of aggregate quarrying at Scorton Quarry. The work provided an opportunity for large-scale investigation of the Middle Neolithic Scorton Cursus, one of the great prehistoric monuments of northern England, as well as its wider surroundings.
