Large and Small Pelagics Hotspots in the Strait of Georgia (2009-2010)

Strait of Georgia Ecosystem Research Initiative Project: -locate biological hotspots based on acoustic backscatter -Intensively sample the biology of biological hotspots identified during the acoustic scan with echosounders -Provide proof-of-concept for the utility of new technologies -To retrospectively identify biological hotspots for small and large pelagic species and assess the significance of these areas over time.
