This repository contains data from a research that analyses a literacy event taking place in a low-income school in southern Spain. For this study, an ethnographic method was followed in order to gain a deeper understanding of multimodal literacy. In addition, a multimodal social semiotics approach was adopted to analyse the social process of meaning making that takes place in the classroom. Data were collected in the form of reports, audio recordings, video recordings and photographs over a period of two years. In this repository you can view data relating to the data collection table, full transcripts, photographs, and tables of the semiotic analyses. This study was developed within the frame of the National R&D Apertura Project “"Improvement of multimodal literacy in childhood (3-8 years old): development of an inclusive model in areas with social transformation needs" (PID2019-104557GB-I00)”, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (State Plan Knowledge Generation - R+D+i Projects)
