The p values in last column refer to comparisons between seroconverters (SCs) and persistent HIV-1 exposed seronegatives (pHESNs). Behavioral and clinical risk score includes combination of 1) genital ulcer/inflammation for either index, HESN, or both partners, 2) no circumcision of HESN male, 3) recent pregnancy in HESN female, and 4) sperm in vaginal fluid in HESN female in most recent 6 month of follow-up.
