2014 Recreational Saltwater Fishing Summit Summary Report

Management of recreational saltwater fisheries is important to NOAA Fisheries (the Agency). In September 2009, the Agency embarked on a focused effort called the Recreational Saltwater Fisheries Engagement Initiative (Engagement Initiative), meant to increase the effectiveness of Agency management and better serve the recreational fishing community (Community). The ultimate goal of this effort is to establish a strong and trusting partnership between the Agency and the Community. The Engagement Initiative created a forum meant to develop actions to address priority issues, follow through on commitments, and empower anglers as responsible stewards and resource users. 2014 NMFS (National Marine Fisheries Service) Submitted Public Domain 1862
