Sediments collected from two nearby sites along the Yellow River with 3 replicates for each site, showed different ability in Cr(VI) reduction. The difference of microbial communities diversity, composition, structure and function composition between these two samples are still unclear. So, we investigated sediments microbial communities and hope we could get useful information for Cr(VI) reduction in this area.
