Dataset of Quercus pyrenaica forest structure and biodiversity in Montesinho Natural Park (associated with article: Quercus pyrenaica forests under contrasting management histories in northern Portugal: carbon storage and understory biodiversity)

This dataset contains dendrometric and biodiversity variables collected in Quercus pyrenaica forests located in the Montesinho Natural Park and Serra da Nogueira, northern Portugal. Data were collected in 2024 to support analyses of forest structure, carbon storage, and species diversity presented in manuscript Quercus pyrenaica forests under contrasting management histories in northern Portugal: carbon storage and understory biodiversity. The Excel file includes two sheets: Trees: dendrometric variables of individual trees. Columns: Local (SN = Serra da Nogueira; PNM = Montesinho Natural Park), Age (30 or 80 years since last intervention), Plot_ID, V (Tree volume, m³), B (Biomass, kg), C (Carbon stock, kg). Species: understory biodiversity per plot. Columns: Local (SN = Serra da Nogueira; PNM = Montesinho Natural Park), Age (30 or 80 years since last intervention), Transect_ID, Species (species name).
