Data underlying publication: Long-term warming impaired the carbon sink capacity and efficiency in a salt marsh

Long-term eddy covariance measurements in a salt marsh in the Yellow River Delta, China This dataset accompanying the publication includes eddy covariance measurements from a salt marsh in the Yellow River Delta spanning 2011–2024, data from a manipulative warming experiment (2017–2021), and DOI links to datasets from global salt marsh eddy covariance sites (68 site-years). In this study, we found that rising temperatures primarily and negatively affected both the CO2 sink capacity and efficiency at our study site, with similar patterns observed in several global salt marsh sites. These findings provide important insights into how climate warming may impact the ability of salt marshes to function as carbon sinks in the future.
