Chinese medicinal blossom-dataset

The blossom images of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs were captured by Google search. The images were divided into twelve categories: (1) Syringa, (2) Bombax malabarica, (3) Michelia alba, (4) Armeniaca mume, (5) Albizia julibrissin, (6) Pinus massoniana, (7) Eriobotrya japonica, (8) Styphnolobium japonicum, (9) Prunus persica, (10) Firmiana simplex, (11) Ficus religiosa and (12) Areca catechu. The number of original images is 1716, and the total number of images acquired after data augmentation was 12538. The dataset provide a collection of blossom images on traditional Chinese herbs help Chinese pharmacist to classify the categories of Chinese herbs. In addition, the dataset can serve as a resource for researchers who use different algorithms of machine learning or deep learning for image segmentation and image classification.本数据集的中药材花朵图像均通过谷歌搜索（Google Search）采集获取。图像共划分为12个类别：(1) 丁香（Syringa）、(2) 木棉（Bombax malabarica）、(3) 白兰（Michelia alba）、(4) 梅（Armeniaca mume）、(5) 合欢（Albizia julibrissin）、(6) 马尾松（Pinus massoniana）、(7) 枇杷（Eriobotrya japonica）、(8) 国槐（Styphnolobium japonicum）、(9) 桃（Prunus persica）、(10) 梧桐（Firmiana simplex）、(11) 菩提树（Ficus religiosa）、(12) 槟榔（Areca catechu）。原始图像共计1716张，经数据增强（data augmentation）处理后，总图像量达12538张。本数据集收录的中药材花朵图像集，可辅助中药药剂师完成中药材品类的分类鉴定工作。此外，该数据集还可作为研究人员应用各类机器学习（machine learning）、深度学习（deep learning）算法开展图像分割与图像分类研究的资源库。
