VPRS 4991 Mining Warden's Note Book, Stawell Mining Division

This series consists of a note book maintained by the Mining Warden of the Stawell Mining Division within the Ararat and Stawell Mining District. Most entries document permissions granted for miners to undertake a range of activities such as the registration of mining claims and dam construction. Many of the entries are numbered up to number 841 but there is no index. Notes regarding payments received are recorded from the rear of the volume.
