Geotechnical Map of the Canary Islands

The Geotechnical Map of the Canary Islands consists of the zoning of the island territory, with the limitations that the scale and nature of the materials allow, in areas of more or less homogeneous geotechnical behavior (geotechnical units) that, for the purposes of planning geotechnical recognition, will have a similar treatment. These geotechnical units have in turn been classified within the ground groups defined in the Basic Structural Safety Document (DB SE-C) of the Technical Building Code (CTE).
