This digital appendix provides the detailed data and coding outcomes from our meta-synthesis of design knowledge for persuasive conversational agents (CAs) in sustainability. It contains:<b>Sub-Cluster Table</b> – Lists all 140 sub‐clusters with short labels, allocated under 30 design clusters (BY1–BY5, IN1–IN2, CA1–CA3). These sub‐clusters capture specific design features, requirements, or principles.<b>Studies Table</b> – Shows bibliographic details and contextual information (e.g., primary sustainability dimension, SDGs addressed, application domain) for each of the 26 articles in our corpus, highlighting core studies on persuasive CAs in sustainability.<b>Cluster Table</b> – Presents the 30 high‐level design clusters, grouped into the three overarching dimensions (“Sustainability by agent,” “Sustainability in agent,” and “Conversational agent”), alongside concise descriptions.<b>Kernel Theories Table</b> – Summarizes 41 theories or justificatory knowledge elements referenced in the literature (e.g., Theory of Planned Behavior, Computers Are Social Actors), indicating their usage across the studies.By consulting this appendix, researchers and practitioners can see exactly how each cluster and sub‐cluster is grounded in the analyzed literature, retrieve practical design elements, and identify relevant theoretical underpinnings for creating or evaluating sustainability‐oriented conversational agents.
