Left Ventricular Gene Expression in Patients with Heart Failure and Preserved Ejection Fraction. Homo sapiens isolate:Heart biopsy

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is increasingly prevalent and has few treatments. The molecular mechanisms and resultant signaling pathways that underlie the development of HFpEF are poorly defined. Here we provide an unbiased molecular signature of the gene (transcriptome) expression in previously validated left ventricular (LV) epicardial biopsies of patients with HFpEF and matched referent controls with a focus of known or suspected genes involved in pro-fibrotic and pro-inflammatory pathways.
