Total investment fund ownership in the Euro area 2015, by investor category

This statistic illustrates total investment fund ownership in the Euro area as of 2015, by type of investor. The figures showed that at that time, insurers and pension funds accounted for 2.7 trillion euros in assets of investment funds. By comparison, households segment of the financila market accounted for nearly two trillion euros of total investment fund ownership, and non-financial corporations for further 502 billion euros in fund ownership.
