P-wave velocity of discrete samples (DPW) from IODP Hole 389-M0104A@en

P-wave velocity data from discrete samples from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 389 (Hawaiian Drowned Reefs). Discrete samples for P-wave velocity measurements were taken during the onshore phase of expedition 389, which took place between 2025-02-06 to 2025-02-26 at the Bremen Core Repository (BCR) hosted at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen. The measurements were performed on cylindrical core plugs drilled approx. every 1.5 meter perpendicular to the split surface of the working halves of the core sections. P-wave velocity was measured first wet straight after the initial sampling, again after the samples have been dried in a convection oven and a third time after being resaturated with tap water. All measurements were performed with a Geotek PWL-D velocimeter for discrete P-wave measurements. […]本数据集包含国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP）389次航次（夏威夷淹没礁）指定钻孔的离散样品纵波（P-wave）速度数据。本次纵波速度测量所用的离散样品采集于389次航次的岸基处理阶段，该阶段于2025年2月6日至2025年2月26日在由不来梅大学海洋环境科学中心（Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, MARUM）托管的不来梅岩芯库（Bremen Core Repository, BCR）内开展。测量所用的圆柱形岩芯试样约每隔1.5米钻取一个，取样方向垂直于岩芯段工作半块的劈开面。纵波速度测量分三次进行：初始采样后立即开展湿态直测、将样品置于对流烘箱干燥后复测，以及用自来水重新饱和后完成第三次测量。所有测量均采用Geotek PWL-D型离散纵波速度测量仪完成。[……]
