The pore size is defined through the radius of the largest spherical cargo capable of passing through the final structure of a simulated system of Nsp1-FGs. The radius was determined according to the algorithm presented in Methods and illustrated in Figure 7. The average was taken over the last 30 ns of the simulation for each of the systems wild-type_ring, mutant_ring, random_array, and random_bath.
