资源简介:
A range of body-centered cubic (BCC) superalloys for high-temperature applications are being developed by the Materials for Extreme Environments group at the University of Birmingham. In this proposal, we intend to perform in-situ loading experiments on Cr-, Fe- and W-based BCC superalloys strengthened by coherent B2 intermetallic nanoprecipitates. This study aims to investigate the phase evolution and optimal value of lattice misfit for increasing the load transfer from matrix to precipitates and combat softening at high temperatures. The in-situ compressive loading experiments will be conducted from room temperature to 900 C at Engin-X. The results of this study will provide insights into the micromechanical behaviour of these novel alloys.
