Comparison of rumen microbiota, metabolomics, and milk performance between Montbeliarde Holstein hybrid cattle and Holstein cattle

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between rumen metabolites and both milk performance and rumen microbiota composition as a means of assessing the benefits of crossbreeding Montbeliarde and Holstein cattle. In doing so, this study aims to provide a reference for producing high-quality dairy products, improving local dairy cattle varieties and the overall efficiency of dairy cattle breeding.
