Burdock tea (BT) was fermented in human faecal culture and inhibit ammonia and indole production.BT feeding increased caecal acetate and n-butyrate in mice fed high-sucrose and low-dietary fibre diet.Decreasing ammonia by BT was clear in plasma rather than in caecum. BT increased faecal Muribaculaceae and Clostridia UCG-014.
