Lot Machine: Benchmark of Historical German Auction Catalog Lots

A benchmark dataset for Key Information Extraction (KIE) from historical auction catalogs. It provides 1,378 annotated auction lotsacross 152 pages from five German-language auction and sales catalogs (1908–1935), drawn from the (German Sales)[https://digi.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/germansales/] collection. Each lot is annotated with a structured, lot-level schema suitable for evaluating Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and other document-understanding systems.
