资源简介:
Measured using a Keyence VK-X150 laser microscope, the 3D models of rough surfaces of steel indenters and their silicone impressions are provided.
Files with names in the format:
“PXXXX steel.vk4” represent the surfaces of the original indenters, where PXXXX refers to the sandpaper grit number used to create the roughness on the surface.
“PXXXX steel_approximation.mat” are approximations of the surfaces using a 16th-degree polynomial, representing smooth surfaces without roughness.
“PXXXX steel_rough_plane.mat” are the differences between “PXXXX steel.vk4” and “PXXXX steel_approximation.mat”, which represent the rough plane. Analyzing this data can provide roughness parameters.
There are four cases: P2000, P800, P320, P40, resulting in a total of 3x4 = 12 surfaces for the steel indenters.
Similar data is available for silicone impressions of the indenters surfaces, where "steel" is replaced by "silicone" in the filenames, yielding another 12 files.
In total, the Digital surface Twin contains 24 data files.
These indenters were used in experiments described in the article “Friction in adhesive contacts: Influence of roughness”, which was prepared for the journal “Machines” as invited article.
