In this study, we aimed to identify the miRNA profiles of stem and callus in E. camaldulensis, a cultivar with high vegetative propagation ability, and low E. grandis x urophylla, a cultivar with low vegetative propagation ability. Also, we aimed to characterize differentially expressed miRNAs between stem and callus, which might be associated with the ability of vegetative propagation in Eucalyptus. Our study will provide a valuable resource for future studies and improve our understanding towards the molecular mechanisms during the propagation development of Eucalyptus. Our results will benefit the breeding program of Eucalyptus in this field.
