Tegillarca granosa Transcriptome or Gene expression

In the present study we used the blood clam Tegillarca granosa as a model to assess the involvement of miRNAs in organismal responses to Cd stress. We constructed small-RNA (sRNA) libraries from haemocytes of T. granosa and sequenced the libraries using Illumina sRNA deep-sequencing technology. The sequencing data were analysed to identify conserved and novel miRNAs and their targets. This work represents the first report of miRNAs identified in a marine clam.
