<b>新种 </b><b><i>Cudonia</i></b><b> （</b><b><i>Cudoniaceae</i></b><b>， </b><b><i>Rhytismatales</i></b><b>) from Yunnan, China based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis</b>

The genus <i>Cudonia</i> in the family <i>Cudoniaceae</i>, is widely distributed in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, and has a limited distribution in subtropical regions. The main characteristic of this genus is that its ascocarps are rounded and club-shaped. In this study, a novel species and a known species of <i>Cudonia</i> from Yunnan, China are introduced, based on morphological and molecular phylogenetic analysis. Phylogenetic analysis based on sequence data from rDNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS). <i>Cudonia cangshanensis</i> is reported as a new species, and it is characterized by its stipe long clavate, slightly swollen at the base, clearly striated longitudinally at the upper part, the hymenium is relatively thick (`X = 162 μm), ascospores are relatively large (`X = 67 × 3.0 μm). In addition, a new collection <i>Cudonia gracilistipitata </i>from Dali Autonomous Prefecture has been record. New species and collection detailed description and illustrations are provided in this study.
