DermSix: a six-dimension dataset of the dermatology research ecosystem (papers, grants, clinical trials, citation timelines, altmetrics, and a dual-layer patent dimension), 2010–2025

DermSix is a frozen six-dimension dataset of the dermatology research ecosystem,2010–2025: (1) a corpus of 65,331 papers from 11 dermatology journals (PubMed;the public release excludes the abstract column for copyright prudence - abstractsare retrievable by PMID from PubMed); (2) 55,394 grant records (OpenAIRE Graphv11.1.1, single-snapshot, filtered by a 51-term skin wordlist); (3) 16,936clinical trials (ClinicalTrials.gov API v2, 58-term condition search); (4)per-year citation timelines for 65,302 OpenAlex works (353,227 long-table rows);(5) Altmetric attention records for the full corpus DOI domain (65,836 rowsincluding zero-attention placeholders; per Altmetric.com terms only thecollection scripts and manifest are distributed, not the data); and (6) adual-layer patent dimension - a translation layer of 10,235 patents citingcorpus papers (17,705 patent-paper links, Lens.org) and a landscape layer of48,906 dermatology patents (five-disease-keyword full harvest). All dimensions pass first-pass diagnostics (year distribution x source x hitrate), carry per-file manifests and provenance columns, and are quality-controlled by assertion checks. Cross-dimension links (PMID / DOI / NCT /funder project code) are provided in the derived layer. Main analysis window:2010–2023.
