Microbial communities from bottom sediments of the subarctic Lake Imandra

Technogenic sediments with high metal content formed in the subarctic Lake Imandra. The microbial community of these bottom sediments is represented by various aerobic and anaerobic forms capable of organic matter mineralization and biogeochemical cycling of metals, as well as participating in the biogeochemical cycles of carbon, nitrogen and sulfur.
