资源简介:

This dataset contains anonymized clinical data from patients who underwent cardiac surgery with extracorporeal circulation and were evaluated for the development of postoperative delirium. The dataset was generated as part of a retrospective observational study designed to identify clinical and perioperative factors associated with postoperative delirium in cardiac surgery patients. Postoperative delirium is a frequent neurological complication following cardiac surgery and is associated with prolonged hospitalization, increased morbidity, and mortality. The study analyzed demographic, clinical, surgical, and postoperative variables to determine risk factors associated with delirium development. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, bivariate comparisons, and multivariate logistic regression to identify independent predictors of postoperative delirium. Patients were classified according to the presence or absence of postoperative delirium, allowing comparative statistical analyses between groups. This dataset supports reproducibility of the analyses presented in the associated thesis and enables secondary analyses, predictive modeling, and machine learning approaches in perioperative medicine. All data were anonymized prior to analysis and contain no identifiable patient information. METHODS Methods This dataset was derived from a retrospective observational study conducted in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The analysis was structured into four stages: Descriptive analysis:Absolute and relative frequencies were calculated for categorical variables, and measures of central tendency and dispersion were calculated for continuous variables. Correlation analysis:Normality was evaluated using graphical inspection and Shapiro–Wilk test. Pearson correlation was used to evaluate relationships between continuous variables such as age, extracorporeal circulation time, and length of hospital stay. Bivariate analysis:Pearson chi-square test was used to compare categorical variables between groups (delirium vs non-delirium). Student’s t-test was used for comparisons of continuous variables. Multivariate analysis:Binary logistic regression was performed to identify independent risk factors associated with postoperative delirium. Variables included in the regression model: Age Sex ICU length of stay Extracorporeal circulation time Preoperative and postoperative atrial fibrillation Benzodiazepine use Orotracheal intubation Comorbidities (diabetes, hypertension, smoking, dyslipidemia, renal disease, stroke, ischemic heart disease) Odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals were calculated.
