We performed whole-genome transcriptome analysis of Rasmussen Encephalitis of the early disease stages for an overview of differentially expressed pathways leading to widespread neuroinflammation and degeneration. Overall design: This study was done on FFPE surgical resection material from patients suffering from Rasmussen Encephalitis and epileptic controls (age matched tumour patients).
