Summer surface mass balance of Bowdoin Glacier, Greenland in 2017

Aluminium poles were installed in the ice in the lower part of Bowdoin Glacier to measure surface mass balance. Length from top of the poles to ice surface was measured. Measured length change of the poles converted in meters water equivalent.为开展表面物质平衡（surface mass balance）观测，研究人员在鲍登冰川（Bowdoin Glacier）下段的冰体中布设了铝制标杆。研究人员测定了标杆顶端至冰面的距离，并将测得的标杆长度变化转换为米水当量（meters water equivalent）。
