The essential genome of Xanthomonas citri
收藏资源简介:
Citrus canker, caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri, is one of the most destructive diseases worldwide. It leads to a significant decrease in citrus yield and quality, making it an important quarantine disease both domestically and internationally. In this study, saturating transposon mutagenesis combined with high-throughput sequencing were used to identify essential genes of Xanthomonas. As a result, we obtained a saturated transposon library and identified 525 essential genes and 181 high-fitness cost genes. we further investigated the impact of polar effects, functional enrichment analysis and conservation analysis. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the essential genome of Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri offering reliable target genes for future research.
