Collection of visual core description (VCD) sheets (hand drawn originals and digital representations) and lithologic composite plots from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 386 (Japan Trench Paleoseismology). VCD was performed on unsampled archive halves of split cores, directly after linescan imaging, during the onshore phase of expedition 386, which took place between 2022-02-14 – 2022-03-15 onboard D/V Chikyu. The lithology of each core section is represented on the hand drawn VCDs by graphic patterns next to the X-ray CT image of the archive-half core section. Further, a wide variety of features that characterize the sediment are indicated in additional columns. The information from the hand-drawn VCD sheets was then transferred into the Drilling Information System database (s. also datasets \"Description of lithologic section units of IODP Hole 386-M0082A\"), from where it could be accessed semi-automated to produce digital lithologic columns and composite plots using Strater (Golden Software). 本数据集包含国际大洋发现计划(International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP)386航次(日本海沟古地震学航次)指定钻孔的岩心目视描述(Visual Core Description, VCD)表(含手绘原稿与数字复刻件)及岩性综合柱状图。VCD工作于该航次陆上阶段开展,该阶段于2022年2月14日至2022年3月15日在“地球”号(D/V Chikyu)钻探船上进行,具体操作是在完成线扫描成像后,直接针对拆分岩心的未采样存档半段开展。每个岩心段的岩性通过存档半段岩心的X射线计算机断层扫描(X-ray CT)图像旁的图形图案在手绘VCD表中呈现;此外,额外列还标注了表征沉积物特征的多种构造。手绘VCD表中的信息随后被录入钻探信息系统(Drilling Information System)数据库(亦可参见数据集“Description of lithologic section units of IODP Hole 386-M0082A”),后续可通过该数据库半自动调用数据,使用Strater软件(Golden Software公司)生成数字岩性柱状图与综合柱状图。[…]
