Soil Management, Aggregate Size and Fungal Community - Structure and Function

The fungal community plays an important role in the functionality of ecosystem services. Soil management greatly changes the physical configuration of soil particles and re-distributes the biotic components in the soil milieu. Understanding how the effect of management, conventional and organic, changes the distribution of soil fungal community size, guild composition, and diversity across different aggregate sizes of fluvial Vertisol soil may elucidate the advantages or disadvantages of the management approaches. This study aimed to determine the interrelating effects of management and aggregate size on fungal communities based on molecular identification assigned to functional guilds.
