Transcriptomic Analysis of Purple Potato (Solanum tuberosum subsp. andigena) in Response to Sodium Nitroprusside Treatment

This project aims to investigate the transcriptomic changes in purple potato (Solanum tuberosum subsp. andigena) in response to sodium nitroprusside (SNP) treatment. Fresh-cut purple potatoes were treated with either distilled water (control group) or 0.1 mmol/L SNP solution (treatment group). RNA sequencing was performed using paired-end sequencing to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the physiological responses to SNP. The results will provide insights into the regulatory pathways involved in stress tolerance and potential applications in improving post-harvest storage and quality of purple potatoes.
