Fluid-structure interaction of a floating cylinder subject to regular waves: visualisation data

This dataset describes how the structure reacts to (forced) incoming regular waves by using potential flow theory. The 2D simulation was run in FEM using Gridap. The project led by Youri van Noort about "Numerical solver for added mass and damping coefficients for a 2D horizontal cylinder based on potential flow theory" was part of the CIEM1301 Advanced Computational Mechanics course of 2024 at TU Delft.

本数据集基于势流理论（potential flow theory），阐释了结构物在（受迫）入射规则波作用下的响应特性。本次二维模拟采用有限元法（Finite Element Method，FEM）结合Gridap工具完成。该项目由Youri van Noort主导，主题为"基于势流理论的二维水平圆柱附加质量与阻尼系数数值求解器"，是代尔夫特理工大学（TU Delft）2024年CIEM1301《高等计算力学》课程的组成部分。
